2015 St. John Neumann’s Lakeside Family Festival Survival Guide

Family fun this Memorial Day weekend!

This festival held on Memorial Day Weekend, has become an anticipated event in the greater New Bedford, Freetown, Lakeville, Fall River, Taunton, Middleboro and the Cape areas. Because our emphasis is to present a weekend of activities directed to all family members, we demand a safe and secure environment–absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the grounds.

The festival is located at Cathedral Camp on Long Pond, Route 18, (Middleboro Road) in East Freetown, Mass. FREE ADMISSION! The dates and hours of operation are indicated below:

  • Friday, May 22, 2015: – 6:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, May 23, 2015 -NOON-11:00 P.M.
  • Sunday, May 24, 2015 – NOON-11:00 P.M.
  • Monday, May 25, 2015 – NOON -5 P.M.

Festival attractions will include: “Blessing of the Bikes, In memory of Butch Silva” sign up at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23rd. Rider fees $15. and passenger fees $10. (Rain date is Sunday) Amusement rides for all ages-ethnic and American food booths–midway game booths of skill and chance–numerous raffles, including our “GRAND” raffle, and our renowned GIANT Barn Sale. Also enjoy delicious freshly prepared home-baked goods. On Sunday, at 8 a.m., registration begins for our 25th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show, registration fee is $10.00. Judging begins at 2 p.m. and the awards section is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. (Rain date will be Monday.)
