The North Fairhaven Improvement Association will light the decorated square and welcome Santa Claus to North Fairhaven. Free.

Christmas Concert

Second Annual Holiday Fine Craft Fair
Saturday, December 5, 2015, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Art on Center, 15 Center Street

Fine crafts including: Jewelry, hand woven baskets, stained glass, textiles and more will be offered for sale. There will also be an awesome holiday raffle, and gift wrapping will be available. Art on Center is fully handicapped accessible with ample off street parking. Historical House Tour
Sunday, December 6, 2015, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Starts at Fairhaven Academy Building, 141 Main Street

The Fairhaven Historical Society presents a tour of six historical houses and four other buildings of interest. Tickets are $20 in advance, available at the Millicent Library or the Euro/Phoenix store. On the day of the tour, tickets are $25 and available at the Academy Building where the tour brochure will be handed out.

Millicent Library Chairs and Crafts
Saturday, December 12, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
Millicent Library, 45 Center St. (Walnut St. entrance)

Friends of the Millicent Library will celebrate the library auditorium’s new chairs and tables, with a grand opening at 9:00 a.m. followed by children’s crafting projects and light refreshments through the day. Fairhaven Town Hall Shops
Saturday, December 12, 2015, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Town Hall, 40 Center St.

Non-profit and church groups have booths to sell holiday related items, baked goods, holiday greens, and more. There are raffles and silent auctions, face painting and craft making for the children. Some of the organizations with tables are: VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Whitfield-Manjiro Friendship Society, Church of the Good Shepherd, Fairhaven Improvement Association, Fairhaven Lions Club, Shining Tides Quilters, and others. Entertainment provided by Fairhaven music students. There will also be a drop boxes for new, unwrapped toys to be given to the area’s needy children and for the United Way food drive. Free. The Brick Church Fair & Luncheon

The church will be alive with activity. Craft Vendors, Baked Goods, Cookies, Home Cooking, Vermont Cheddar Cheese, Chance Auction, Silent Auction, Coffee Shop and much more. The “Heavenly Treasures,” second-hand shop will be open all day. Lobster roll luncheon will be served from 11:00 a.m. until sold out. Chowder and hotdogs will also be available. Handicap accessible. Cookies & Hot Chocolate at Our Lady’s Haven

Our Lady’s Haven, built originally as the Tabitha Inn by Henry H. Rogers in 1905, will open its lobby to visitors, who will be treated to Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. to meet children and pose for photos. Sponsored by the Diocesan Health Facilities Organization. Unitarian Church Holiday Marketplace & Sanctuary Tours

The Unitarian Church parish house will be the site stress-free shopping with a variety of fine crafters’ booths, baked goods and holiday greens. Festive holiday music, a visit from St. Nicholas and a Christmas tree decorated with love will spread holiday cheer throughout the halls. Tours of the sancturary will be given. Free Admission. Town Hall Sing-Along

Town Hall, 40 Center Street, Fairhaven

A community tradition! Sing carols on the steps of the Town Hall while waiting for the arrival of a jolly visitor from the North Pole. Then enjoy some hot chocolate. Sponsored by the Fairhaven Improvement Association. Free.

Service of Lessons and Carols

Unitarian Memorial Church, 102 Green St.

The Unitarian Universalist Society of Fairhaven presents a service of lessons and carols, with seasonal readings and music performed by Music Director Dwight Thomas and the choir of the Unitarian Memorial Church. Fort Phoenix Polar Plunge
Thursday, January 1, 2016, 10:00 a.m.
Fort Phoenix State Beach and Reservation
South end of Green St., Fairhaven, MA

Come start off the new year with a dash into the ocean! Challenge your family and friends to come out and plunge in remembrance of the victims of domestic violence. A donation of $25 buys a long sleeve T-shirt. Shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis. You can choose whether or not you jump in. Registration and t-shirts can be purchased at the Plunge from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Checks can be made payable to: Fairhaven Dollars for Scholars. Please note on check: Ft. Phoenix Polar Plunge.
