Toe Jam Puppet Band
Every Monday at 10:00am and 11:30am
Cost: Zoo admission + $5/family

Sing, dance and play the hour away with New Bedford’s favorite, The Toe Jam Puppet Band! Please Note: There will be no Toe Jam Puppet Band on Columbus Day.


Toddler Tales
Every Thursday at 10:30am
Cost: Free with zoo admission

Enjoy a zooper fun story time at the zoo! Toddler Tales includes a snack and a craft/activity. Recommended for ages 3-5.

Family Twilight Tour
Friday, October 3 at 5:30pm
Cost: Members: $15/person; Non-members: $18/person

Join us for an exciting evening at the Zoo rain or shine! This 3 hour program includes a pizza dinner, a program about animals at the Zoo, an evening tour of the Zoo and a campfire with s’mores! Participants must pre-register and pay in advance at www.bpzoo.org. Registration closes Wednesday, October 1.


Elephant Appreciation Day
Sunday, September 21, from 12pm-3pm
Cost: Activities are free with zoo admission.

Come to the Buttonwood Park Zoo from 12- 3pm and wish our Asian elephants a happy birthday! At 12:30pm, zoo keepers will give a birthday cake to the elephants and cards signed by the Zoo’s visitors. Visit education stations where you can learn more about Asian elephants and small steps you can take at home to help make a big difference for all elephants.


Join the Bear Cub Club – Tuesdays in October and November!

Tuesdays, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4 & 18, from 10:30am-12:00pm
Price per one Class – Zoo Members: $14/child; Non-members: $22/child (includes zoo admission)

Zoo Members: $75 for 6 weeks; Non-members: $123 for 6 weeks (includes zoo admission)

Our Fall Bear Cub Club will offer adult/child pairs the opportunity to connect with nature and learn more about the animals they love together! Each week’s 90-minute program will focus on a different animal through songs, stories, free play, crafts, and either a visit to a zoo exhibit or encounter in the classroom. Bear Cub Club is designed for ages 2 & 3. Bear Cub Club will run Tuesday mornings, October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4 & 18, at 10:30am. Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Unregistered children (including siblings) cannot attend. To register, please visit www.bpzoo.org.


Boo at the Zoo
October 10-12, 17-19, & 24-26 from 6:00pm-9:00pm
New in 2014! Thursday, October 30, from 6:00pm-9:00pm
Cost: Zoo Members: $9/adult; $6/child.
Non-Members: $14/adult; $11/child.

There’s enough thrills and chills for everyone at Boo at the Zoo! Join us at Boo at the Zoo for an evening of Halloween fun! Rides are included in the Boo admission. Climb aboard for a spoooooky train ride or take a bewitching carousel ride! It’s slightly scary fun for all ages! Boo at the Zoo is proudly sponsored by Bristol County Savings Bank.
