Couple arrested for breaking into Rubber Duck car wash

On Friday morning (4/24) at approximately 1:30am north end officers were sent to the Rubber Duck car wash at 2712 Acushnet Ave. regarding a break into the change machines. The suspects did a considerable amount of damage while doing so.

As a result of an investigation by Det. Scott Brown, two arrest warrants, and two search warrants were obtained: one for the apartment and one for the vehicle that was seen leaving the area.

Both suspects were placed under arrest this morning at approximately 7am in their home. The bolt cutters used in the break were recovered in the trunk of their car outside the residence.

Scheduled to be arraigned today in New Bedford District Court for Breaking and Entering are:

1. Robert Medeiros age 42 of New Bedford
2. Marnie Pimental age 41 of New Bedford
