The animals at the Buttonwood Park Zoo have been busy beavers – literally! Not sure if you have taken up any new hobbies this winter to help pass the time until spring arrives, but some of our animal residents have perfected their painting skills over the past few months. Yes, they like to stay busy too! With a little assistance from our zookeepers, our elephants, seals, bears, chickens and beavers have created some of the most unique works of art that you can imagine while spending quality time with their caretakers.

Personally, this fundraiser has been one of the most rewarding fundraisers that I have had the pleasure with which to be involved. As the Director of Society Operations for the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society, to witness their charismatic expressions on canvas has been quite endearing. It makes you realize the individual contribution each animal resident has to our Buttonwood Park Zoo!

What do the paintings look like? How can you purchase one? You can view the animal’s paintings and bid on your favorite with the Buttonwood Park Zoo’s “Art Gone Wild!” online auction. “Art Gone Wild!” will run from April 1st to 30th.
