26th Annual Walk to Benefit the Schwartz Center for Children – September 14th, 2014

WHAT: 26th Annual Walk to Benefit the Schwartz Center for Children
WHEN: Sunday, September 14th, 2014, starting at 8:30 a.m.
WHERE: Fort Taber in New Bedford, MA

The Schwartz Center for Children has just kicked off its ‘Walk With Us’ online fundraising campaign, and will hold their symbolic 26th annual Walk, to be held rain or shine, on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Fort Taber in New Bedford, MA. The 3.5-mile loop around Fort Taber starts at 8:30 a.m. with check-in and family-friendly activities and music to follow. The Walk start time is 9:30 a.m., after a few words from New Bedford’s Mayor. The Schwartz Center for Children is a nonprofit organization with offices at 1 Posa Place in Dartmouth, MA. It has been serving children with a variety of special medical and developmental needs from birth to age 21 in Southeastern Massachusetts since 1947. Services include a Day School, Early Intervention Program, Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, Regional Consultation Program, Pediatric Specialty Clinics, and a variety of other programs.
