Dear Friends,

Preparations are underway for Kennedy-Donovan Center‘s 21st Annual Rock-A-Thon! As you may already know, this rocking chair marathon benefits our New Bedford based programs including the Kennedy-Donovan Center School, Day Habilitation Program, Early Intervention, Healthy Families, and Transportation. We hope to raise over $5,000 through donations, sponsor-ships and raffles this year. Proceeds from this Rock-A-Thon will be utilized to provide enhanced recreational and social opportunities, as well as equipment needs for the children and adults served through our programs

The Rock-A-Thon is scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2014 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm at Kennedy-Donovan Center, on the corner of Hawthorn and County Streets in New Bedford. The event will be held rain or shine, and will include entertainment, music, raffles, and refreshments. Everyone is invited to join in the rocking.

We are writing to request your assistance in reaching this year’s goal. There are several ways individuals and businesses can support our efforts. Become a Rock-A-Thon Sponsor. With a contribution of $50.00 or more, your company’s name will be printed on our Rock-A-Thon t-shirts and your contribution will be acknowledged at the event. Sponsor-ships must be received no later than Friday, August 1, 2014 due to our t-shirt printing deadline.

  • Donate an item or gift certificate (valued at $15.00 or more) for our raffle.
  • Make a direct contribution in the amount of your choice.
  • In-kind donations are also welcome, please call us to discuss this option.
  • Join us at Rock-A-Thon 2014 on August 15, 2014

Whatever way you are able to assist us this year will be greatly appreciated and will help to make a difference in the lives of the children and adults who participate in our New Bedford area programs.

To be a part of the 2014 Rock-A-Thon, please complete and return the enclosed form, or call us at (508) 992-4756. We invite you to bring your family and friends and stop by and join the festivities on August 15. We look forward to seeing you there!
