New Bedford Police, Massachusetts State Police Deceives assigned to this office and Homicide Unit prosecutors are actively investigating a homicide, which occurred in the City of New Bedford late this afternoon.
At around 6:22 pm, New Bedford Police were called to the area of Middle and Chancery Streets in regards to a reported stabbing incident involving three victims. One victim, a 15-year-old male from New Bedford, is deceased. The other two victims, both male teenagers, are being treated at area hospitals this evening for non-life threatening injuries.
The deceased victim’s identity is not being publicly released at this time pending next of kin notification.
The investigation in being coordinated by First Assistant District Attorney Patrick O. Bomberg. The state Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the deceased to perform an autopsy.
No one is charged in connection with the homicide at this time.
Sickening. And in my city. When will GOD repay? Judgement shall be deemed a homocide. But what can one do to live a peaceful life. I’m disgusted, lost and confused. In New Bedford? Sad this isn’t the first time. Hopefully they catch the SOB. Lord forgive me and give me the grace. Testify. TESTIFY that to fruition. Cause kids and adults alike walk these streets. And God forgive me for opening my mouth to NE one about this tradegy. Lord. Eyes closed*. Pray for the soul of everyone involved and most assuredly for the lost children who have to deal with this mess. 15? I need to not be afraid.
Wow.! It’s sad when a child is a victim of such violence, my prayers go out to the family especially the parents, being a parent myself I can’t imagine what they’re going through.
